It's all about Insurance & Statutory Law:
In 2004 the owner (Gary Wakerley) of the Kangaroo Jumper product introduced the 'Jumping Pillow' to the industry in the USA and Canada and the success of the product and the positive impact it has had on those who have installed it is well documented. In those early years we tried desperately to maintain an envious safety record however, that was not the case and it became necessary to re-invent the product with an emphasis on Safety rather than Sales. With the release of the ‘Kangaroo Jumper’ in 2013 we’ve succeeded. We're always studying the cause of even the slightest injury and it's this information that has been used to upgrade and innovate and to keep our product well ahead of competitors. Consequently, there are additional safety measures incorporated into the 2013 model (and beyond) and are exclusive to our product 'The Kangaroo Jumper'. Since 2013 until now, these additional measures have proven to make our product safer and recognized as the Industry Leader! The Australian Kangaroo Jumper incorporates ALL of the latest safety features.
The Hard Edge - Sand Depth Indicator: Kangaroo Jumper Exclusive
Exposure of the Hard Edge is the most common cause of injury. The sand or pea gravel is constantly being pushed away from the hard edge as people plunge into it when getting off the Jumper. For that reason it is necessary to maintain that coverage by raking back the sand to its original position. We have devised a way in which ground staff can see at an instant what the coverage is in any given area of the perimeter and this makes maintenance easy to control. Our sand depth indicator makes life easier for ground staff and Safer for your clients.
Permanently Covered Hard Edge: Kangaroo Jumper Exclusive
When the hard edge is exposed it is simply dangerous! The use of sand to cover this hard edge has worked fine for years however it does require constant maintenance keeping the sand at the correct depth, it also requires topping up each year and history shows that most folks have a system in place to regulate the sand depth. Some don't! We now have the ability to do away with the sand and cover the hard edge permanently, this means no maintenance, no ongoing costs of sand replacement and as a bonus the elimination of abrasion on the surface extends the life of the canvas. Looks Great as well!
The Kangaroo Jumper is ‘Low Level’
Our installation methods create a low-level jumper and the most significant aspect of this is that it stays low-level. Other products tend to grow in height over time and this causes two problems. The sides become steep making it difficult for the smaller children to get up onto the jumper and jumping off from a greater height increases the chance of injury. Our safety measures eliminate these problems.
The Kangaroo Jumper is Anti-Fungal and Antimicrobial
The process used to produce these unique features is permanent, it means that viruses and other microbes cannot grow or survive on the canvas. This of course creates a healthier play environment. These features are exclusive to the Kangaroo Jumper product.
Some people should not be jumping!
It is simply a fact that large and overweight people need to be aware of the dangers of Jumping, increased impact on their knees and ankles can cause serious injury. So-to is the danger to those with Brittle Bone conditions as well as heart and pulmonary conditions. The Kangaroo Jumper features specific signage warning and discouraging people in these categories.
Other causes of Injury include:
Out of control ‘Big People’ hurt ‘Little People’ and ‘Overcrowding’ can cause crashes. These items are completely eliminated when participants follow the Jumping rules. This comes under the heading of on-site ‘Jumper Management’.
The Australian Scene:
The Kangaroo Jumper has an exemplary track record throughout Australia having recorded no Insurance liability claims during its history and that is in line with the rest of the world! Those who have switched to the Kangaroo Jumper have reported drastic reductions or no incidences of injury. The owner of the product taking control of production procedure and product standards and this has ensured that our product will maintain the ‘Safe Product’ recognition it deserves.
